Sitecore Symposium 2025 Recap: Sitecore AI

|November 2025
We're back from Sitecore Symposium, and we're still buzzing. We had the chance to not just see the latest from Sitecore, but to actually sit down and work with their engineers who built it. We got a deep dive into Sitecore AI, and we're ready to share the details.
Sitecore is calling this the "AI-First Era of Digital Experience," which sounds a bit grand, but after seeing it in action and understanding the ins and outs, we get it. This isn't just another feature; it's a whole new way of working.
What is Sitecore AI, Really?
Sitecore keeps using three words to describe the new platform: Unified, Open, and Agentic. Let's break down what that actually means.
- Unified: This is a big one. The Gartner MQ cautioned against "Complex product portfolio" with "feature overlap" and no clarity of the suite of products. They addressed this in a big way. Sitecore AI brings together all the major components—XM Cloud, CDP, Personalize, Search, and DAM—into one system. For you, this means no more juggling different contracts and trying to make different products talk to each other. It's one platform, one workflow.
- Open: This is where it gets interesting for Nishtech as partners. Sitecore AI is designed to be customized. You can connect it to the tools you already use, like your CRM or analytics software. This is all done through a new area called Sitecore Studio.
- Agentic: This is the "AI" part of Sitecore AI. The platform uses AI "agents" to automate marketing tasks. Think of them as digital teammates that can help with everything from planning campaigns to creating content. You'll manage all of this in the Agentic Studio.
What's in It for You? (The Customer Problems it Solves)
From our discussions and observations, Sitecore AI is built to solve some common problems marketers face:
- Tired of juggling a dozen different tools? Sitecore AI's unified platform is designed to bring everything together.
- Frustrated with systems that don't talk to each other? The open architecture means you can connect the tools you want to use.
- Struggling to get campaigns out the door? The AI agents are built to automate the repetitive work that slows you down.
- Finding it hard to keep up with the demand for new content? Sitecore AI can help you reuse existing assets and create new ones more quickly.
The Big Questions: Your Existing Setup and Data
We also got answers to some of the most important questions we've been hearing from our clients:
- Do I have to replatform? No. If you're an XM Cloud customer, you'll automatically get access to the new Sitecore AI experience on November 10, 2025. There's no big migration to worry about.
- Is this going to cost me more? The upgrade to Sitecore AI is included in your existing entitlements at no additional cost. You'll even get free entry-level access to CDP, Personalize, Search, and DAM.
- What about my data? This is a big concern with AI, and Sitecore is taking it seriously. Your data stays in your own environment and is never used to train external AI models. You have control. And for those with strict compliance needs, you can even opt-out of the AI features.
Nishtech's Role as a Sitecore Gold Partner and Implementation Expert
For us at Nishtech, the most exciting part of all this is the "Open" aspect. Nishtech has been a leader in the Agentic AI space, we learned that partners like us can build our own custom AI agents and use cases and even list them in the Sitecore Marketplace. This allows us to layer our knowledge on top of Sitecore's platform to bring this thing to a new level for our clients and customers.
This means we can build solutions that are tailored to your specific needs. We're not just implementing a product; we're extending it to solve your unique challenges. Our experience at Symposium, working directly with the engineers, has given us a head start, and we're excited to start building.
The "AI-first era" is here, and it's more than just the AI buzzword. It's a new way of working that's faster, smarter, and more connected.
